Recite with attention to its meaning: responding to Allah with obedience and affirming that He has no partner.
Observe the restrictions of Ihram
Avoid deliberately removing hair, cutting nails, or applying perfume. Men avoid fitted garments such as shirts and trousers and direct head coverings. Women do not wear niqab or gloves. Avoid marriage contracts, proposals, and sexual intimacy.
Use ordinary travel aids when needed
The guide permits glasses, a watch, a hearing aid, a money belt or bag, and shade from an umbrella, vehicle, or building. Washing or changing the Ihram cloths is allowed. Choose unscented hygiene products.
Read. Understand. Remember.
The Talbiyah
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am; You have no partner. All praise, blessing, and dominion belong to You. You have no partner.
